Countryside Deli was founded in 2020 from my lifelong passion for food, cooking, and connecting with people through memorable flavours. What began as a personal culinary journey in Port Elizabeth soon expanded internationally to the celebrated Margaret River Region in South-Western Australia.
After four rewarding years of successfully operating and growing the brand in Australia, I made the heartfelt decision to return to South Africa, bringing with me global experience, refined techniques, and a renewed vision. Today, Countryside Deli is proudly based in Hartenbos, near Mossel Bay, in the heart of the Garden Route.
Experience & Inspiration
Behind Countryside Deli lies more than two decades of my hands-on experience in the food, catering, and hospitality industry, including seven years of owning and running a restaurant. These years shaped not only my skills but also my philosophy — that great food should be honest, thoughtfully prepared, and deeply satisfying.
The brand itself was born from my genuine love for people and food, combined with the knowledge and confidence I gained through years of dedication to the craft.
The Ingredients & Craft
Quality sits at the core of everything I do. I carefully source ingredients from the lush lands of the Garden Route and Klein Karoo, supporting local farmers and suppliers while ensuring freshness, authenticity, and sustainability.
Each sauce, relish, preserve, baked item, biltong cut, and home-cooked meal is thoughtfully developed through trial, refinement, and passion — a true symphony of flavours designed to delight the senses. Nothing is rushed, and nothing is compromised.
